What’s your name?

Priyanka Bhaumik and I am a Science teacher.

What’s your teaching experience?

I have been tutoring P3 to P6 kids (Local school Science) and Sec1 to Sec4 (Local school Biology) for past 3 years. I am very well versed with MOE syllabus and teach how to read questions effectively and answer them, minimising mistakes. Last two weeks out of the 10-week course is the question answer sessions where the students are exposed to various question and their answering techniques.

How do you teach that helps students learn efficiently?

I love to teach as I believe all kids are gifted to learn. I use different methods to teach kinaesthetic, auditory, and visual learners. Teaching is more fun than duty to me, so kids love to learn as they are not stressed during learning. We have fun activities during learning which keeps the kids occupied and focussed.

Why do you enjoy teaching?

Science has been always my favourite. I feel excited when I can kindle the interest in science in the young minds and watch them learn and explore. It gives me immense pleasure when the inquisitive minds start seeking answers and expand their horizons.
