Argentina Upper Secondary School Mathematics
Overview
The Argentinian education system mandates primary school for ages 6-12 and secondary school for ages 12-17. Upper secondary education (educacion media) is mandatory and lasts from ages 14 to 18. Upper secondary education is also referred to as “Polimodal” education. Years 4-5 of upper secondary school fall within this Polimodal cycle. The Polimodal level typically lasts three years and offers specialized education. Students are required to hold a Bachiller or Tecnico diploma to enter higher education.
Curriculum
Mathematics is a core subject throughout primary and secondary school. Other core subjects include Spanish language, science, social studies, physical education, music, art, and a foreign language.
