I. National Symbols

The UAE has several important national symbols that represent its history, culture, and values. The national flag consists of three equal horizontal bands of green, white, and black, symbolizing fertility, neutrality, and the nation's resources, respectively. The national emblem features a golden falcon (Hawk of Quraish) with a disk in the middle displaying the UAE flag and seven stars representing the seven Emirates. The falcon holds a banner with the country's name written in Kufic script. The Arabian oryx is the national animal, symbolizing strength and resilience. The date is the national fruit, a cornerstone of Emirati culture.

II. History of the UAE

The UAE's history dates back to the 3rd millennium BC. The modern history of the UAE began in the 20th century. The UAE gained independence from the UK on December 2, 1971. Six emirates initially united to form the UAE, with the seventh joining in 1972. In 1971, the UAE became a member of the Arab League.

III. Culture of the UAE

The culture of the UAE is a blend of Arabian, Islamic, and Persian influences, also incorporating elements from East Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. Islam is the predominant religion, shaping many aspects of daily life. National Day, celebrated on December 2nd, is a significant cultural event.
