UAE Grade 9 Moral Education
The Moral Education curriculum aims to instill universal values in students, enabling them to interact peacefully with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The program is built upon four interconnected pillars:
1. Character and Morality: This pillar focuses on developing strong moral character traits, ethical decision-making, and personal responsibility.
2. The Individual and the Community: This pillar explores the relationship between individuals and their communities, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility, cooperation, and respect for others. It encourages students to understand their roles and responsibilities within their communities.
3. Civic Studies: This pillar focuses on civic engagement, rights, and responsibilities within a society. It aims to develop informed and responsible citizens who understand and participate in civic processes.
4. Cultural Studies: This pillar explores the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the UAE, promoting understanding, tolerance, and appreciation for different cultures. It emphasizes the importance of preserving cultural identity while embracing global citizenship.
The curriculum employs a student-driven approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on inclusive group work. It was implemented across all UAE schools for Grades 1-9 in September 2017. |
