UAE Moral Education - Year 5

This curriculum focuses on four interconnected pillars: Character and Morality, The Individual and the Community, Civic Studies, and Cultural Studies. These pillars aim to develop well-rounded individuals with a strong moral compass.

Character and Morality

This pillar explores the development of positive character traits and ethical decision-making. Lessons may cover topics such as benevolence, compassion, generosity, honesty, and integrity. Students learn to identify these qualities in themselves and others, and understand their importance in personal and social interactions.

The Individual and the Community

This pillar examines the relationship between individuals and their communities. Students learn about the importance of contributing to society, respecting diversity, and working collaboratively. Topics may include cultural understanding, tolerance, and resolving conflicts peacefully.

Civic Studies

This pillar introduces students to the concepts of citizenship, rights, and responsibilities. Students learn about the structure and function of government, the importance of civic participation, and the role of citizens in a democratic society. They may also explore topics such as law, justice, and the legal system.

Cultural Studies

This pillar focuses on the appreciation and understanding of different cultures. Students learn about the traditions, customs, and values of various cultures, both within the UAE and globally. They develop an appreciation for cultural diversity and the importance of intercultural dialogue.
