South Korea Elementary School Grade 2: Pleasant Life

Pleasant Life is an integrated subject taught in South Korean elementary schools for Grades 1 and 2. It combines elements of music, art, and physical education. First and second graders have six hours of "Pleasant Life" per week. This integrated approach aims to provide a holistic learning experience for younger students. "Pleasant Life" also includes physical education classes. Studies have been conducted on the inclusion of Korean traditional music within the "Pleasant Life" curriculum. There has also been research on teachers' perceptions and implementation of music education within "Pleasant Life". Another study analyzed classroom practices and teacher awareness related to music activities in "Pleasant Life".
