South Korea Elementary School 4th Grade Curriculum - Arts (Music/Art)

The 2015 Republic of Korea National Curriculum framework includes Arts (Music/Art) as a subject cluster within the elementary school curriculum. Specifically for grades 3-4, the allocated instructional time for Arts (Music/Art) is 272 hours over the two-year period, based on 34 weeks of teaching per year. One instructional hour is equivalent to 40 minutes, but this can be adjusted based on various factors. Schools have some flexibility in adjusting instructional hours within a 20% range for each subject, but the time allocated for Physical Education and Arts (Music/Art) cannot be reduced.
