South Korea Elementary School 6th Grade Curriculum - Social Studies
This course covers a variety of topics related to Korea's geography, history, and civics, as well as global issues. The curriculum aims to develop students' understanding of social phenomena, equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for social life, and foster the qualities of democratic citizens.
First Semester

- Examines historical efforts to protect Dokdo and develops a sense of territorial sovereignty.
- Explores efforts towards the unification of South and North Korea and envisions a unified Korea contributing to global peace.
- Investigates conflicts that threaten global peace and development and explores solutions.
- Examines the activities of individuals, countries, international organizations, and NGOs working for peace and development.
- Investigates major environmental problems and solutions, fostering global citizenship and cooperation in addressing these issues.
