What’s your name?
My name is Michelle
What’s your teaching experience?
I started my coding journey 12 years ago when I had to generate monthly statistical reports. Thereafter, I started coaching juniors how to automate repetitive tasks using coding. Few years ago, I started teaching Python and ScratchJr in schools and even mentored projects. With my vast experience in coding, I will be able to help your kids build a strong foundation in coding.
How do you teach that helps students learn efficiently?
Different students learn differently. I adopt experiential learning methodology in my teaching to engage and help them learn in a new way. There are also bite-sized quizzes to ensure that they understand the concepts before moving on.
I encourage students not to be afraid of making mistakes. The more mistakes they made, the faster they learn and the smoother their learning curve.
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” ―Albert Einstein
Why do you enjoy teaching?
I enjoy teaching because it gives me a sense of great satisfaction when I make a difference to those whom I have taught, knowing that this impact that I have on their lives stays with them throughout their years of schooling and beyond.
What’s one fun fact about you?
I love using technology to solve problems and even add fun to repetitive tasks by creating codes to automate these repetitive tasks. It not only saved a lot of my time but also train my logical thinking skills.
