What’s your name?
My name is Quenna and I am a Chinese teacher.
What’s your teaching experience?
I have been teaching tuition to primary school students upon completion of my A-levels. Previously, I was a Chinese, Mathematics and Science tutor at a student care centre.
How do you teach that helps students learn efficiently?
I provide my students with tips and notes along with examples so that they are able to understand better and grasp the technique in the shortest amount of time. Additionally, I will tailor my teaching style according to my students in order to maximise their learning. I also digitalised my notes so that my students are able to learn at anytime, anywhere.
Why do you enjoy teaching?
I enjoy teaching because it is rewarding to be able to witness the progress of my students. At the same time, it gives me a sense of accomplishment when my students start taking interest in this language, because it is not easy learning a language, especially when it is not the most used medium for communication.
What’s one fun fact about you?
I am also a Latin dance, Zumba and pop dance instructor.
