Saudi Arabia Grade 1 Curriculum - Arabic Language

The Arabic language is a core subject in the Saudi Arabian Grade 1 curriculum. Primary school in Saudi Arabia lasts six years and includes Arabic, Islamic studies, mathematics, science, art, geography, history, home economics (for girls), and physical education (for boys). The Ministry of Education oversees the education system and sets the overall standards. English is introduced as a compulsory subject starting from Grade 4. While the specific details of the Grade 1 Arabic curriculum are not readily available online, it is understood that it focuses on foundational skills in the Arabic language, including the alphabet. Some schools may adopt international curricula alongside the national curriculum.
