Saudi Arabia Intermediate School Curriculum (Grades 7-9) - Mathematics
The Intermediate School stage in Saudi Arabia spans three years, covering grades 7 to 9 for students aged 12 to 15. Mathematics is a core subject within this curriculum, alongside Arabic, religious education, history, art education, science, English, geography, and home economics (for girls). The curriculum aims to provide a balanced learning experience, similar to those published by McGraw Hill. In Grade 8, the mathematics textbooks are divided into 10 chapters, spread across two semesters, covering five topics each. A study has been conducted to analyze the content and time allocated for teaching science and math curricula in Saudi Arabia. Additional resources for Grade 8 mathematics are available online, including practice exercises, tests, and worksheets. A mathematical achievement instrument has also been developed, based on the Saudi Arabian mathematics curriculum for the second semester. Students also have the option of online math courses through platforms like FutureSchool. |
