Serbia Grade 7 School Syllabus - Electives

Electives (chosen by school/student)

Starting in the 2022-2023 school year, new elective activities were introduced for 7th and 8th-grade students in Serbia as part of the ISCED 2 level. Students choose one of three elective activities each year, resulting in four different electives completed by the end of 8th grade.

Examples of elective activities include:

• Home Economics
• Drawing, Painting and Sculpting
• Nature Guardians
• Living with Music
• Save our Planet
• Entrepreneurship
• My Environment
• Art
• Hands in Pastry
• Nature Protectors
• Exercise for Health
• Life Skills
• Media Literacy

Core Curriculum (Compulsory Subjects)

In addition to electives, 7th grade students in Serbia also take a number of compulsory subjects. These include:

• Serbian Language and Literature
• Mathematics
• English Language
• Second Foreign Language (school's choice)
• Science (including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
• Geography
• History
• Music
• Art
• Physical Education
• Civics
• Religious Education (optional)
