Serbia Digital World Curriculum (Third Grade)

Digital World is a compulsory subject introduced in Serbian primary schools, aiming to equip students with essential digital literacy skills from a young age. The curriculum covers all four grades of primary school. The materials for all grades, including the third grade, are available on the online platform net.kabinet on the petlja.org portal. These resources were developed by the Petlja Foundation in collaboration with the UNDP and the Serbian Ministry of Education as part of the “Building Key Computing Competencies - Towards the Workforce of the Future” project.

The curriculum emphasizes the understanding of digital devices and their safe usage. A key area of focus is algorithmic thinking. By the fourth grade, students are introduced to basic programming concepts using tools like Karel the Robot.
