General Learning Outcomes (Class 1):

Students will be able to:

  • Develop an appreciation for art and explore its various forms.

Term 1:

  • Random Scribbling: Students practice freehand movements to develop control and explore different line directions.
  • Curved Line Scribbling: Students create curved lines and scribbles, introducing them to different shapes and forms.
  • Straight Line Scribbling: Students practice creating vertical, horizontal, and slanted lines.
  • Mixed (Curved and Straight) Line Scribbling: Students combine curved and straight lines in their scribbles.
  • Tracing Letters and Numbers: Students trace letters and numbers to develop hand-eye coordination and familiarize themselves with these symbols.
  • Tracing Shapes: Students trace both irregular and regular shapes, further developing their fine motor skills and understanding of shapes.

Term 2:

  • Straight Line Patterns: Students create patterns using straight lines on ruled and unruled paper.
  • Curved Line Patterns: Students create patterns using curved lines.
  • Curve and Straight-line Patterns: Students combine curved and straight lines to create more complex patterns.
  • Writing Letters: Students practice writing letters, focusing on different sizes and thicknesses.
  • Writing Numbers (0-9): Students practice writing numbers, focusing on different sizes and thicknesses.
  • Enclosed Shape Patterns: Students create patterns using enclosed shapes.

Term 3:

  • Exploring Lines: Students explore different line qualities (thick, thin, long, short, straight, curved) and use them in their artwork.
  • Tracing Letters: Students continue practicing tracing letters, further refining their skills.
  • Tracing Numbers: Students continue practicing tracing numbers, further refining their skills.
  • Tracing Irregular Shapes: Students trace irregular shapes.
  • Tracing Regular/Geometric Shapes: Students trace regular shapes like circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles.
  • Tracing Objects: Students trace simple objects.
