Singapore JC Subject List - History (H3)

Overview

History (H3) is designed for students with exceptional interest and ability in History, targeting the top 10-15% of the GCE A-Level cohort. It builds upon the H2 History syllabus, requiring prior knowledge and understanding at the H2 level. Students applying for H3 History must already be offering H2 History.

Assessment

The assessment for H3 History consists of a research essay between 3000-3500 words. This essay must be the candidate's own work, demonstrating their ability to conduct independent research. Assessment guidance is available in the official syllabus documents.
