Tamil Language and Literature (H3)
This course is designed for students with a strong foundation in Tamil language and literature who wish to deepen their understanding and analytical skills. It delves into advanced literary concepts, critical analysis, and creative writing.
Curriculum:
The H3 Tamil Language and Literature curriculum focuses on developing advanced proficiency in the language, exploring literary texts, and honing creative writing skills. Students engage with a variety of literary genres, including poetry, prose, and drama, from both classical and contemporary periods. They also develop critical thinking skills through textual analysis and interpretation.
Assessment:
The H3 Tamil Language and Literature examination consists of two papers:
- Paper 1: Composition and Textual Analysis (50%) This paper assesses students' ability to write creatively and analytically. It includes a composition section and a textual analysis section based on unseen passages.
- Paper 2: Literary Text Analysis (50%) This paper requires students to analyze literary texts based on a chosen topic. They may choose to focus on a specific genre, theme, or author.
