Art (H3)

Art (H3) in Singapore's Junior College (JC) system is designed for students with exceptional interest and ability in art, who wish to delve deeper into the subject than the H2 level. It complements the H2 Art syllabus, challenging students to think critically about art's creation, perception, and practice. It enhances competencies acquired at the H2 level, engaging students with theoretical and critical discourses surrounding art. At some JCs, like National Junior College, the H3 level focuses on the Theory of Art, equipping students with advanced critical thinking skills and exploring contemporary societal issues through the lens of art. H3 Art is typically offered to H2 Art students at the end of their first year.
