Aims

Assessment Components

  • Component 1: Speaking (20%)
      • Presentation (2.5 minutes) on a chosen topic from the topic areas.
      • Topic conversation (6 minutes) based on the presentation.
      • General conversation (6 minutes) on broader topics.
  • Component 2: Reading and Writing (60%)
      • Comprehension and response to two related French passages.
      • 200-word composition on one of two given topics.
      • Cloze test with 10 gaps.
  • Component 3: Listening (20%)
      • Comprehension of short factual items.
      • Comprehension of an extended spoken piece.
