Assessment Components
- Component 1: Speaking (20%)
- Presentation (2.5 minutes) on a chosen topic from the topic areas.
- Topic conversation (6 minutes) based on the presentation.
- General conversation (6 minutes) on broader topics.
- Component 2: Reading and Writing (60%)
- Comprehension and response to two related French passages.
- 200-word composition on one of two given topics.
- Component 3: Listening (20%)
- Comprehension of short factual items.
- Comprehension of an extended spoken piece.
