Further Mathematics (H2)

Further Mathematics (H2) expands on several H2 Mathematics topics and introduces new ones, including:
- Algebra and Calculus: Complex numbers, polar coordinates, applications of definite integrals, functions of two variables, and differential equations.
- Discrete Mathematics, Matrices and Numerical Methods: Recurrence relations, matrices and linear spaces, and numerical methods.
- Probability and Statistics: Discrete and continuous random variables, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, and non-parametric tests.
Assessment
The assessment consists of two 3-hour papers, each contributing 50% to the total mark:
- Paper 1: Focuses on pure mathematics with one real-world application question.
- Paper 2: Includes sections on pure mathematics and probability & statistics, with one real-world application question in the latter section.
