Slovakia Primary School Subject - Music

Music education in Slovakia has a long tradition dating back over 1000 years. In primary schools, music education is based on the National Curriculum and is a compulsory subject. The subject "Music" is taught for one lesson per week.

While textbooks exist for grades 1 through 7, a textbook for 8th grade is currently under development.
