Slovakia Maturita Exam - French

The Maturita exam is a school-leaving exam in Slovakia, required for graduating secondary school students to enter university. French is one of the foreign languages students can choose for the exam. The exam is administered by NÚCEM (Národný ústav certifikovaných meraní vzdelávania), the National Institute for Certified Educational Measurements.

The French Maturita exam typically includes two parts:

  • External Part: This part is graded centrally and focuses on reading, listening, and use of English (grammar and vocabulary).
  • Internal Part: This part focuses on writing skills and typically involves an essay.

Students can choose to take the exam at different levels, including B1 (medium) and B2 (hard), with C1 available for bilingual schools. A relatively small number of students choose French as their Maturita exam subject.
