Slovakia Maturita Exam - Italian Subject

The Maturita exam is the standardized school-leaving exam in Slovakia, similar to A-Levels, the Abitur, or the Baccalauréat. It is required for entry into higher education institutions in Slovakia.

The exam has both internal and external components. The external portion is mandatory for all students in Slovak or Hungarian language, a foreign language, and mathematics. While a number of foreign languages are offered, specific information about Italian as a Maturita subject is not readily available. A March 2024 article mentioned only one student taking the Italian exam, suggesting it may not be widely offered.
