Slovenia Second Foreign Language (Optional)

In Slovenia, a second foreign language is offered as a "compulsory optional subject" during grades 7 to 9. This means that while students in these grades are not required to take a second foreign language, schools must offer it as an option. The available languages from which schools can choose include English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian and Russian. English is the most commonly chosen second foreign language.
