Slovenia Osnovna šola Curriculum - Slovenian Language - Theatre Club
Gledališki krožek (Theatre Club) is an optional elective subject offered within the Slovenian language curriculum in Slovenian primary schools (Osnovna šola). It is available to students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. The course typically covers 32 hours (1 hour per week) throughout the school year.
The Theatre Club focuses on developing students' understanding and appreciation of drama and theatre through active participation. Activities may include:
- Acting (mimicry, improvisation, role-reading)
- Reading and interpreting dramatic texts
- Exploring various theatrical techniques
- Learning about different aspects of theatre production
The Theatre Club differs from a drama club in that it does not aim to produce a complete theatrical performance. Instead, it emphasizes exploring the characteristics of drama and theatre through active learning and theatrical exercises.
A workbook, "Iščemo gledališče" (Searching for Theatre), is available as a learning resource for the Theatre Club elective. It is designed for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students. |
