Slovenia Matura Exam Subjects - Compulsory Subjects

The Matura exam in Slovenia has three compulsory subjects. These are:

• Slovene (or other language for minorities): Students whose first language is Croatian, Serbian, Hungarian, Italian, or Czech can take the Matura in their native language.
• Mathematics: This subject is compulsory for all students.
• Foreign Language: Students must choose one of the following foreign languages: English, German, French, Italian, or Spanish. Students can only take the exam in a language in which they have received passing grades for at least two years of their high school education.
