Slovenia Matura Exam: History Subject

The Matura exam in Slovenia is a crucial standardized test for secondary school students, serving as both a high school leaving exam and a university entrance qualification. It is typically taken by students aged 17-20. The exam consists of five subjects.

History is one of the four compulsory subjects alongside Slovene, Mathematics, and a foreign language. Students also choose one optional subject. While the specific topics covered in the history portion of the exam are not readily available in English, it is likely that the exam covers a broad range of historical periods and themes relevant to Slovenian and European history.

The Matura exam is administered in two series: spring (May-June) and autumn (August-September). A mock exam is administered in March of the final year. The exam includes both written and oral components. The State Examination Centre (RIC) is responsible for compiling the examination materials.
