Slovenia Matura Exam: Foreign Language Subjects
The Matura exam in Slovenia is a standardized test taken at the end of secondary education, similar to A-Levels, the Abitur, or the Baccalauréat. It is required for entrance into higher education institutions. The Matura consists of compulsory and optional subjects.
One of the compulsory subjects is a foreign language. Students can choose from English, French, German, Italian, Russian, or Spanish. In addition to the foreign language, students must also take exams in their mother tongue (Slovene, Hungarian, or Italian, depending on the region) and mathematics. Two additional optional subjects are also chosen by the student. |
