Slovenia Matura Exam: Mathematics
The Matura exam is a standardized test in Slovenia, serving as a graduation requirement for secondary school and an entrance examination for higher education institutions. Mathematics is a compulsory subject in the Matura exam, alongside the Slovene language (or Hungarian or Italian in specific regions). The exam is administered in two series: spring (May-June) and autumn (August-September). A mock exam is also held in March for Year 4 students.
The Mathematics portion of the Matura exam assesses students' mathematical skills and knowledge. One format includes an oral exam with three questions, evaluating the student's ability to prove theorems and illustrate mathematical concepts. The exam is graded on a scale of 1 to 5 for the basic level and 1 to 8 for the advanced level. |
