South Africa Grade 10 First Additional Language

The First Additional Language syllabus for Grade 10 in South Africa is based on the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS). The CAPS document outlines the learning outcomes, assessment standards, content, and context for the subject. The primary focus of the First Additional Language curriculum is to develop learners' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, viewing, writing, and presenting. It aims to equip learners with the necessary language skills for effective communication in various contexts. The curriculum recognizes that learners may enter Grade 10 with varying levels of language proficiency and provides support to help them reach their full potential. Annual Teaching Plans (ATPs) are available to guide teachers in implementing the curriculum. Additional resources, such as study guides and navigation packs, are also available to support learning.
