South Africa Grade 12 Electrical Technology
This course equips students with the skills and knowledge to understand electrical and electronic principles. It offers various career paths and specializes in Electrical Systems, Electronic Systems, and Digital Systems.
Electronics
This specialization introduces learners to analog electronics, focusing on light current applications. A "Last Push Revision Document" exists to help teachers and learners prepare for the NSC Examination.
Power Systems
This specialization focuses on electrical heavy current in single and three phases. Topics include three-phase transformers. An Annual Teaching Plan (ATP) is available for the FET Phase. Exam preparation resources are also available.
Digital Systems
This specialization covers the nature and purpose of digital systems within electrical technology. It is also referred to as Digital Electronics.
Assessment
Assessment includes a Practical Assessment Task (PAT) and a final exam. The PAT for Digital Electronics is part of the assessment requirements for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. Past exam papers and memos are available for all specializations.
