South Sudan Senior 4 (S4) School Syllabus - Other Subjects

The South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) examinations for Senior 4 (S4) students are typically administered in mid-November to mid-December. In 2024, the Ministry of General Education and Instruction (MOGEI) scheduled the exams for this period. Nearly 45,000 students took the S4 final exams nationwide in December 2023. Results for the 2023 exams were released in July 2023, with Central Equatoria State leading in performance and student numbers. The marking of the CSE examination scripts commenced in April 2024.

Several subjects are offered at the S4 level, including:

History: S4 History resources include a student textbook and teacher's guide. The syllabus has undergone adjustments, particularly in relation to the COVID-19 school closures.

Christian Religious Education (CRE): Resources for CRE include student textbooks, teacher's guides, and online platforms like Shopit South Sudan.

Biology: S4 Biology utilizes student and teacher's guides, with materials available online.

Other Subjects: Additional subjects offered at the S4 level include Citizenship, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, English, and Geography. Textbooks and other learning materials for these subjects are available through various sources, including the East Africa School Server and the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC).
