Spain Bachillerato - Health Sciences

The Bachillerato is a two-year, non-compulsory post-secondary education program in Spain for students aged 16-18, preparing them for university. It follows the compulsory Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO). The Health Sciences Bachillerato is one of the five branches offered, alongside Science and Technology, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts.

While a precise syllabus for 2º de Bachillerato Health Sciences is difficult to obtain, the curriculum generally includes core subjects, specific subjects related to Health Sciences, and elective subjects.

Core subjects often include:

  • Spanish Language and Literature
  • Foreign Language (usually English)
  • Mathematics (Applied or Science)

Specific subjects related to Health Sciences likely include Biology, and may also include Chemistry, Physics, and other science-related subjects. Specific subjects can vary between schools and autonomous communities.

Students also choose elective subjects, which can vary depending on the school. The curriculum emphasizes practical application of knowledge.
