Specific Competencies
1. Discovering Artistic Proposals: Explore various artistic genres, styles, eras, and cultures through active reception to develop curiosity and respect for diversity.
2. Artistic Investigation: Research cultural and artistic expressions and their contexts using diverse channels, media, and techniques to appreciate their value and develop personal artistic sensibilities.
3. Creative Expression: Express and communicate ideas, feelings, and emotions creatively by experimenting with sound, image, body movement, and digital media to produce original artwork.
4. Participation in Artistic Productions: Participate in the design, creation, and dissemination of individual or collective cultural and artistic productions, valuing the process and assuming different roles to develop creativity, a notion of authorship, and a sense of belonging.
Evaluation Criteria
- Competency 1: Discover artistic proposals through active reception, demonstrating curiosity and respect; describe cultural and artistic expressions in their immediate environment, exploring their characteristics with an open attitude and interest.
- Competency 2: Select and apply basic strategies for guided information seeking on cultural and artistic expressions through simple access channels and media, both individually and cooperatively; recognize basic characteristic elements of different cultural and artistic expressions that are part of heritage, indicating the channels, media, and techniques used and identifying differences and similarities.
- Competency 3: Produce original artwork in a guided manner, using some of the expressive possibilities of the body, sound, image, and basic digital media, demonstrating confidence in one's own abilities; express ideas, feelings, and emotions in a guided way through simple artistic manifestations, experimenting with different languages and instruments within their reach.
- Competency 4: Participate in a guided manner in the design of basic cultural and artistic productions, working cooperatively based on equality and respect for diversity; take part in the cooperative process of cultural and artistic productions respectfully, using basic elements of different artistic languages and techniques; share creative projects, explaining the process and the final result obtained, and valuing one's own experiences and those of others.

- Music and Performing Arts: Sound and its basic qualities: auditory discrimination, classification, and representation of diverse sounds and melodic lines through different notations; voice and musical instruments; main families and groups; visual and auditory discrimination; sound objects; everyday sounds; character and tempo; instrumental, vocal, and body practice: approach to experimentation, creative exploration, and interpretation based on one's own sound and expressive possibilities; assisted construction of instruments with materials from the environment; basic musical languages: application of their elementary concepts in the interpretation of vocal and instrumental musical proposals; the body and its motor possibilities: interest in experimentation and exploration through individual and group performances linked to movement, dance, dramatization, and theatrical representation as a means of expression and fun; basic dramatic and dance techniques; basic expressive and creative capacities of body and dramatic expression.
