Sri Lanka Advanced Level (A/L) Examination Syllabus - Technology Stream
The Technology stream was introduced to the Sri Lankan Advanced Level (A/L) examination in 2013. It aims to equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills relevant to various technological fields.
Subject Combinations
The Technology stream requires students to select three subjects from the following categories:
- Category A: Science for Technology (SFT): This compulsory subject combines basic concepts from mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and ICT.
- Category B: Engineering Technology (ET) or Bio Systems Technology (BST): Students choose one of these two specialized subjects.
- Category C: Other Subjects: Students choose one subject from a list of options, including but not limited to: Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography, Communication & Media Studies, and Business Studies.
