Sri Lanka Grade 10 School Syllabus - First Language (Sinhala or Tamil)

The Sri Lanka Grade 10 curriculum includes Sinhala or Tamil as the first language. The Ministry of Education (MoE) provides resources for both languages through the e-Thaksalawa platform. These resources include syllabi, textbooks, teacher guides, past papers, model papers, and other learning materials.

Sinhala Language:

Resources for Grade 10 Sinhala language are available on e-Thaksalawa in Sinhala medium. Additional resources, such as past papers and model papers, can be found on websites like Past Papers Wiki. Textbooks and other learning materials can be downloaded from the Educational Publications Department website.

Tamil Language:

Similar to Sinhala, resources for Grade 10 Tamil language are available on e-Thaksalawa in Tamil medium. Past papers, model papers, and other learning materials are also available on Past Papers Wiki. The Educational Publications Department website provides access to textbooks and other resources. Both Sinhala and Tamil language syllabi aim to develop language proficiency, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. The syllabi also cover literature appreciation and cultural understanding. Students are assessed through term tests, projects, and schoolwork.
