Sri Lanka GCE Ordinary Level Home Economics

This course is designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a healthy lifestyle, effective environmental management, and sustainable resource utilization. It encompasses traditional home economics subjects like food and nutrition, textiles, and home management, while also incorporating modern topics such as entrepreneurship, communication, and leisure management.

Grade 12 & 13 Competency Levels

The syllabus outlines specific competencies to be achieved across two grades, divided into three terms each. These competencies are further broken down into levels, each focusing on specific subject content and learning outcomes. The suggested number of periods allocated to each competency is also provided.
