Sri Lanka GCE Ordinary Level Mother Language (Tamil)

The General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level examination in Sri Lanka includes Tamil as a mother tongue subject. Students can take the exam in Sinhala, Tamil, or English. The GCE Ordinary Level is typically taken after grade 11 and serves as proof of completion of secondary education in Sri Lanka. The examination usually takes place in December.

The Tamil language syllabus covers various aspects of the language, including grammar, literature, and composition. Resources such as past papers, model papers, and study guides are available to help students prepare for the exam. In addition to the core subjects, students also choose optional "basket subjects."

Tamil language learning is also available through online tutoring platforms. There are also online resources for learning mathematics in Tamil.

More allegations have been raised against the recently concluded 2023 (2024) GCE Ordinary Level Examinations.
