What’s your name?
My name is Srikanth Subramaniam, and I am a Physics teacher
What’s your teaching experience?
I have started teaching physics for high school students as freelance Tutor since 2012 for the boards: IB, GCSE, Singapore, CBSE and Various global curriculum. I have taught more than 1000 students so far. My greatest achievement in coaching them was having 10 Plus students cleared Indian Medical entrance exam, more than 400 students got “A” grades
How do you teach that helps students learn efficiently?
Since a lot of students have difficulties in understanding physics concepts, so first I will teach necessary mathematics and how to relate it with Physics. Learning Physics after understanding mathematical applications makes Physics more interesting and easier to learn. In dealing with Numerical questions in the exams, I help them to focus on how to interrelate the given information and derive a formula conclusion instead of memorizing formulas.
Why do you enjoy teaching?
I love physics and love teaching it because “I live for that AHA! moment when my students first understand a new concept or see how the lesson applies directly to their lives. I get excited when students see improvement in their understanding level and marks.
What’s one fun fact about you?
“One of my favorite things to watch Iranian movies and Korean movies (Truth is I don’t know the language) “
