Sami Curriculum in Sweden (Åk 8)

The Sami education system in Sweden includes Sameskolor (Sami schools) which cater specifically to Sami children from grades 1 through 6. These schools follow the standard Swedish national curriculum, with the addition of Sami language and cultural components.

Upon completing grade 6 at a Sameskola, students transition into mainstream municipal or independent schools for their remaining compulsory education (åk 7-9). Therefore, a Sami student in åk 8 would typically follow the standard Swedish national curriculum for that grade level. While the core subjects remain the same, there may be provisions for continued Sami language and culture learning depending on the specific school and region.
