Swedish Gymnasieprogram - Arts Programme (Estetiska programmet)

The Arts Programme (Estetiska programmet) is a three-year upper secondary education program in Sweden. It is designed for students with a passion for artistic expression and an interest in culture and society. Programme Structure

Bild och formgivning (Image and Design)

This specialization provides a broad artistic education encompassing various techniques and media, including drawing, painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil), ceramics, sculpture, graphics, photography, and digital image processing. Students develop their artistic skills and explore different forms of visual expression.

Dans (Dance)

The Dance specialization focuses on various dance forms, including classical ballet, street dance, modern dance, and contemporary dance. Students receive training in improvisation, composition, and performance techniques.

Musik (Music)

This specialization provides a comprehensive music education, including ensemble playing, music theory, individual instrument or vocal lessons, and choir singing. Students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in specific musical genres and develop their performance skills.

Teater (Theatre)

The Theatre specialization focuses on acting, both on and off stage. Students learn about theatre theory, stagecraft, and performance techniques. They develop their ability to interpret and portray characters, as well as analyze and appreciate theatrical productions.

Estetik och media (Aesthetics and Media)

This specialization focuses on digital media from an aesthetic perspective. Students learn about sound, image, and storytelling in various media formats. They develop their creative skills and their ability to communicate and express themselves through digital media.
