Swedish Gymnasieskolan Curriculum - English (Engelska)
English is a compulsory subject within the Swedish Gymnasieskolan (upper secondary school) system. The curriculum aims to develop students' ability to understand spoken and written English, interpret content, and express themselves and communicate effectively in English. English instruction is provided for approximately 200 hours in higher education preparatory programs.
The grading system for English, as with other subjects, uses a six-level scale from A to F, where A-E represent passing grades and F represents a failing grade. In introductory programs, grades are assigned after the completion of each course or compulsory subject. English is one of the eight core subjects common to all upper secondary school programs. |
