The Cycle d'Orientation (CO) is the lower-secondary level of compulsory education in Switzerland, typically for students aged 12 to 15 (9CO, 10CO, 11CO). History is a component of the Social Sciences and Humanities domain within the CO curriculum. While there isn't a national curriculum, cantons coordinate and harmonize their educational systems.
