Textiles and Technical Design

This subject integrates practical work with creative and technical solutions, emphasizing their cultural, historical, technical, economic, and ecological significance. Students develop fundamental motor and manual skills through design processes. In the Bilingual Pathway at Zurich International School (ZIS), students in grades 1-4 have a dedicated 90-minute Textiles and Technical Design class.

This program aligns with the Lehrplan 21 standards. Students explore products, processes, and solutions, learning about their cultural, historical, technical, economic, and ecological impact. They develop basic motor and manual skills through creative design processes.
