Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Education in Tajikistan

Tajikistan has been actively working towards integrating ICT into its education system. Several initiatives and reforms have been undertaken to improve teaching and learning outcomes, modernize schools, and enhance capacity building, including a focus on ICT. The Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan plays a key role in implementing these reforms and has approved ICT competency standards for teachers. Efforts are being made to develop national standards for ICT competencies of teachers and implement policies for the digitalization of education.

A competency-based education curriculum was introduced in 2015, aiming for a holistic, student-centered approach. There's a focus on equipping students with 21st-century skills, including ICT capabilities. A four-year EU-funded project aims to design textbooks and learning materials for STEM subjects, including technology. Teacher training programs focus on strengthening ICT competencies and enhancing knowledge and experience in using modern technologies in education.

While specific details about the Grade 10 ICT curriculum remain elusive, the overall trend indicates a strong push towards incorporating ICT into the education system at various levels. Further research and access to official Ministry of Education documents would be needed to provide a detailed overview of the Grade 10 curriculum.
