Tajikistan Grade 5 Curriculum - Economics
Information specifically regarding the economics portion of the Tajikistan Grade 5 curriculum is limited. However, general information about the education system and curriculum is available.
General Education System in Tajikistan
Tajikistan's education system follows a structure of 4 years of primary school (ages 7-10), 5 years of lower secondary (ages 11-15), and 2 years of upper secondary (ages 16-17). Education is free and compulsory until the ninth grade. The academic year runs from September to June. The Aga Khan Lycée follows the Tajik National State Curriculum for grades 0 to 11. The curriculum is offered in Tajik, Russian, and English.
In 2015, Tajikistan transitioned to a competency-based education (CBE) curriculum. USAID supports updating curriculum standards with modernized guidelines and training.
Grade 5 Curriculum
While the specific economics content is unavailable, Grade 5 is part of the lower secondary education level. Some sources indicate that social studies in general at this level may cover history, civics, economics, geography, and culture.
The Dushanbe International School incorporates the Cambridge Primary Curriculum alongside the Tajik National Curriculum for Years 1 to 5. New subject standards were developed for Mathematics and Tajik Languages for grades 5–11. |
