Tanzania Ordinary Secondary Education Form III-IV Curriculum - Arabic

The Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) has developed a syllabus for Arabic language for Ordinary Level Secondary Schools (Forms I-IV). This syllabus was approved for use in 2019. The curriculum for Ordinary Secondary Education was developed in 2005 and revised in 2010 and again in 2023. It is based on the 2014 Education and Training Policy. Arabic is one of the optional subjects offered in Forms III and IV. The Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) is administered after Form IV. A 2021 report analyzed the performance of candidates who took the CSEE in Arabic Language. Additional resources for Forms 3-4, including Arabic, can be found at the TETEA Maktaba.
