Tanzania Standard 7 Civics Curriculum

This curriculum focuses on Civic and Moral Education, combining civics principles with ethical considerations. The Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) develops the curriculum, syllabi, handbooks, and learning materials. The 2019 edition of the syllabus for Standard III-VII builds upon the 2015 Standard I-II curriculum and the 2016 Standard III-VI curriculum.

Several textbooks support this curriculum, including "Civic and Moral Education For Tanzania Primary Schools Standard 7" by S. Ndambo, published by Mwanzo Educational Publishers in 2020. "Civic am Moal Education Pupil's Book Standard 7" by Dr. Evaristi Cornelli is also available. "Civic and Moral with Activities Pupil's Book 7" directly aligns with the current syllabus. Additional resources include "Test yourself in civics for primary schools: standard 5, 6, and 7" by Erick M. Katabaro. Flipbooks like "Civic and Moral Standard Seven" and "Std. 7 Civics and Moral Education" offer supplementary learning materials.

The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) administers the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), which assesses competencies in Civic and Moral Education based on the syllabus. Exam series and practice materials are available to help students prepare.
