Thailand Mathayom 6/Grade 12 Curriculum - Foreign Languages

The Mathayom 6 level, equivalent to Grade 12, is the final year of upper-secondary education in Thailand. Students typically complete this level around the age of 17. Upon completion of Mathayom 6, students receive the Certificate of Secondary Education. The curriculum follows the Basic Education Core Curriculum.

Subjects are grouped into eight key learning areas:

1. Thai Language 2. Mathematics 3. Science 4. Social Studies, Religion, and Culture 5. Health and Physical Education 6. Arts 7. Vocations and Technology 8. Foreign Languages

Foreign Languages: While the specific curriculum for Mathayom 6 Foreign Languages may vary, several foreign languages are taught in Thailand. These include classical languages like Pali, Arabic, Sanskrit, Khmer, and Mon, as well as modern languages such as English, Chinese (Mandarin), French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Korean, Modern Arabic, and Vietnamese. English language instruction is provided nationwide starting from Prathom 1 (Grade 1).
