Thailand Mathayom 6/Grade 12 Curriculum - Vocations and Technology

Vocational education and training (VET) in Thailand is an integral part of the education system, providing students with practical skills and knowledge for various industries. At the upper secondary level (Mathayom 4-6), students can choose a vocational track alongside the general academic stream. This allows students to specialize in a particular field while also completing their core academic requirements.

The Thai VET system operates at three levels:

1. Lower Certificate of Vocational Education: Offered at the upper secondary level (Mathayom 4-6). This certificate focuses on developing basic vocational skills. 2. Diploma Certificate: Offered at the post-secondary level. This program builds upon the skills acquired at the lower certificate level or high school. 3. Higher Diploma Certificate: A more advanced post-secondary qualification.

While the specific curriculum for Mathayom 6 Vocations and Technology is not readily available, the core curriculum for basic education includes eight subjects: Thai Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Religion and Culture, Health and Physical Education, Arts, and Careers and Technology. Vocational education at the upper secondary level likely incorporates these core subjects while also providing specialized training in chosen vocational areas. The Ministry of Education oversees upper secondary vocational programs through the Office of the Vocational Education Commission.
